Elma’s Bakery is synonymous with Haus Khaz Village. After opening its doors way back in 2011 – the smell of freshly baked breads, croissants and home made bacon loaves wafting through the lanes of the village was enough to get most locals and tourists alike instantly hooked! Lodhi Road was the next outlet to open and Elma’s Kitchen became known for its lip smacking, sensational cuisine as well as its unmissable and unrivalled baked goods.

Elma’s signature dishes, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, pastas and platters are made in house right in front of your eyes in our open kitchen. We also make our own sauces, salad dressings, jams, mustard and soups from scratch. Our meats and cheeses, which are predominately imported, are hand picked at the peak of their flavour. The wide variety of breads are baked daily at Elma’s Bakery in Hauz Khas. We apply high standards and expectations to every item we offer.

Shelly Sahay, owner of Elma’s and a Le Cordon Bleu graduate and chef, states that her values lie in creating the best possible dishes with the freshest local ingredients. Whilst originally from London, Shelly has travelled far and wide and understands good food. “Our food has a quintessentially British influence with sprinklings of neighbouring countries around the continent – we guarantee that a meal you eat at Elma’s will be one that hugs you … from the inside!”

Elma’s was first started by Gautam Aurora, the creative force behind TLR, as a means to have bread for the then cult restaurant. A little known fact is that Elma was originally the family pug and the restaurants have been named after her!
